Frequently Asked Questions

Please find here answers to some frequently asked questions.

1. How do I book?

Just give us a call, or send us an e-mail, we will have a chat about what you want to achieve with your pictures, and arrange a time, date and where, studio or other location.

2. What do we wear?

It's up to you, be comfortable, think about the style of picture you want and dress accordingly.

If it is a contemporary picture, maybe something simple like jeans, same colour t-shirt and bare feet.

Bright colours work well for children, although they can be distracting for an adult.

For families choose similar colours so no one individual stands out.

. Try to avoid bold stripes, checks or prints.

. Bright reds and oranges overpower the face.

. Ladies should wear natural make up and jewellery that is not too obtrusive.

3. What do we do during the shoot, I hate having my picture taken?

Our main aim is for you to have fun and capture natural images, you could be giving the children piggy backs, jumping and rolling around or just sitting on the floor, soon you will forget the camera is there and the pictures will be great.

4. I am worried my child will play up?

As a father, I know how difficult it can be to be the parent of a child about to be photographed.

Don't worry, tell your child you are going to the photographer's to play, don't tell them to be good or smile.

My aim is to capture natural images, I will talk to your child to try to find some common ground, their favourite tv show for example, plus we have lots of things to keep them occupied.

If a child does not want to play, again don't worry, rather than become stressed yourself we can reschedule, or maybe just take a break.

If they have a favourite toy or possession bring it along, it may help them to relax.

5. What about babies?

We want your baby to be comfortable, so whatever you require to help get them settled, we will try to help.

Keep in mind your babies routine and book a time to fit in with this.

Try to avoid big collars and ruffles around the neck as this can take the attention off your babies face.

Again if there is an item your baby is attached to, bring it along.

6. One last point!

If you are stuck in traffic, or just running a little late, don't worry, just let us know.

We would rather you arrive safe and a little late, than on time and stressed.
